Zuma @ The Cosmopolitan

Zuma at the Cosmopolitan delivers a Japanese culinary experience that’s traditional, and innovative all at once. Created by famed chef Rainer Becker and designed by world-renowned interior designer Noriyoshi Muramatsu, Zuma is a foodie’s paradise. Marvel at the sleek lines of the reclaimed wood ceiling, and feel the ancient force of natural stone. Start with the prawn and black cod dumplings, or the popular spicy lobster miso soup. From there, you’ll have numerous choices of tempura or sushi cut from the freshest fish in the world. Their signature dishes vary, but we like the rib eye steak with wafu sauce and garlic chips. There’s also the robata grill, similar to Korean bbq in method, yet all Japanese in preparation and flavor. Choose from lamb, branzino, pork belly and many other grill-ready meats. Zuma is the future of Japanese cuisine, and a must see if you’re in Las Vegas.

He lives in Los Angeles, but travels to Las Vegas at least twice a month to reboot. When he’s not writing, he can be found at the nearest pool bar, staying cool and perfecting his signature cocktail, the Midnight, with the mixologists of Sin City. He’s been known to disappear for days, only to return with a must-eat culinary gem, and while he believes nobody’s perfect, he’s pretty sure we can get damn close with the right pair of sunglasses.
