The 4th of July commonly known as Independence Day is a holiday in the United States that celebrates the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4th, 1776. The 4th of July commemorates the United States declaring independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain and is usually associated with fireworks, parades, barbecues, carnivals, fairs and concerts. Independence Day is the national day of the United States.
The 4th of July is different than some of the other summer holidays in that the date is not always on a weekend like Memorial Day and Labor Day. When the 4th of July is midweek the pool events in Vegas are spread across two different weekends. Make sure and plan ahead because the 4th of July is usually one of the busiest American travel periods of the year and according to Orbitz has rated Las Vegas the number one travel destination for Independence Day Weekend.
